During my Senior year my family moved to Finley where I graduated from Finley High School. That summer I went to work with the Washington State Department of Game and attended Columbia Basin College for two years. In 1963 I went into the Army and was discharged from the Reserves in 1969. I was divorced in 1970.
While working for the state of Washington I transferred to the Washington State Patrol in 1965. In 1973 I transferred to the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission Enforcement Division and retired from there in 1993.
Since my retirement, I have spent most of my time traveling and seeing the world. For three years I spent the winter months in Thailand. I spent one winter in Australia, three winters in Mexico on the Sea of Cortez, several winters in Cozumel Mexico, one winter in Micronesia, and most summers I spend in Alaska fishing.
My “children” are Sheena, Abby, and now Star, my yellow Labrador Retrievers who have been my constant companions. From them I have eight “grandkids”, two of which are Grand Champion and one is 2nd Runner up in Oregon Field Trial Competitions.
My hobbies are hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and traveling. My scuba diving has taken me pretty much around the world.
