Since I retired from the Vancouver Public Schools as a primary teacher ten years ago, I have been doing lots of fun things. Some traveling, just to the Oregon coast, Spokane and the Tri-Cities. I did go to Dallas, Texas last year with my sister, Janice to attend a national convention of Take Shape for Life. About two years ago, my husband and I became certified health coaches with TSFL and love helping people get healthy.
My son got married the year I retired and in the ten years since then, has given us two of the most adorable grandchildren, a boy and a girl who I love with all my heart. They all live here in Vancouver, so I am blessed. When I have free time, I like to scrapbook, read, work on the computer. I am learning about my iphone right now!!
Advice IĀ give to my grandchildren is that words are powerful and once said can not be taken back so choose them carefully. It becomes a small world as you grow-up and you may be reaquainted with someone later in life who you may have hurt with your words. There is almost always a nice way to speak a concern or hurt.
My favorite thing to do right now is to watch Doc Martin. What a hoot. It is on PBS.
My favorite place in the whole world is to be with my family, the grandchildren, but especially my sister and brother. We have so many funny memories of our lives together. Since they both live far away (Vegas and Green Vally, AZ.) I treasure any time we can get together.
