My husband, Jim, and I moved to Pasco after his retirement at U of W and my (better late than never) commencement at U of W. I have been teaching at CBC for almost 20 years now. A few years after starting at CBC, I completed a Master’s Degree in Education. Currently, I have ‘just’ retired following a medical leave of absence.
During these years in the Tri-Cities, we began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity while building their first house in this new chapter. We have now completed our 70th home. It is with great joy we share our skills with so many others in this tri-county partnership. I have just ‘passed’ my training session with ‘Fields of Grace’ while looking forward to helping supply the Second Harvest Food Bank with fresh fruits and vegetables. This Spring, I joined with the reunion committee to help with our 50th reunion.
For pure fun we are active in a monthly ‘Read Aloud’ play reading group, and volunteer with the Richland Players Theatre group.
Cross-country auto trips are our favorite travel mode but we have found some locations are most enjoyable by water or by foot.
Between the two of us we have a blended family of five grown children and seven grandchildren. All are active and growing up way too fast!
Most are in the Puget Sound area where they were all born. One family is in Santa Fe which gives us a favorite destination for travel.
I’m looking forward to our 50th reunion and talking with as many of you as possible!
